My jaw dropped as I watched Damien walk into the classroom the next day, uniform and all. He had a huge smile on his face as if he had accomplished the impossible, which he had. He had gotten rid of his horns and enrolled himself into Konokon High. He stood in front of the room and introduced himself, then Mr. Takahashi told him to pick any empty seat to sit in. Looking around the room he saw me and noticed that the seat to my left was empty, and headed for the seat. A huge burst of red light came from my body as the orb exploded inside of me. It felt as if I were on fire, like a rush of power. When the sensation was over I was back on the roof, the crack was gone, and everything seemed back to normal. I rushed down the stairs to the third floor, looking into classrooms to check if everything was really okay. When I got back to class it was as if nothing had happened. "You're a minute late, Ms. Nakazowa. What were you doing?" Mr. Takahashi asked, concerned. "I left my textbook. . . on the. . . roof." I said, fading off. Had it really only been a minute? Had the demon stopped time? Was I just dreaming?
